Job Summary:



Is assigned to drive a pick-up and delivery route for specific G&K customers. Works to increase route sales volume and retain existing clients according to established goals and objectives. Delivers and sells G&K products and services to customers within a specific geographic area. Establishes and maintains superior customer relations.



Essential Job Functions:



1. Develops sales and marketing approaches for existing customers based on knowledge of the customer, preferences and style.

2. Markets new products and services at the time of established product delivery to result in further penetration of the account with additional product lines.

3. Identifies prospective customers through the assigned customer base and utilizes a team approach to solicit new clients.

4. Routinely resolves customer issues within established guidelines and partners with customers in identifying satisfactory solutions.

5. Builds strong customer relationships with uniform-wearers and decision-makers on an ongoing basis with the objective of continuing and renewing service contracts.

6. Confirms that customer loads are correct before leaving the G&K location. Drives a G&K delivery van to deliver clean garments and/or products to customers according to specifications. Collects/sorts and returns soiled garments and/or products to the G&K location for laundering.

7. Accurately complete all records and required paper work on a daily basis.



Minimum Qualifications:



Education:



HS diploma/GED or equivalent



Experience:



1-3 years related experience in customer service, sales, or training or equivalent education and experience.



Specific Skills:



Able to lift 55lbs on an intermittent basis (up to 25 times per day); operate G&K vehicle. Strong customer service and sales skills.



Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:



Valid commercial driving license, applicable federal and state DOT certification



Working Conditions, Hazards, & Physical Work Demands:



Working outside in inclement weather, handling soiled garments, and delivering products to a variety of different industries
